According to the American Academy of Pediatrics, over 1.3 million children have been diagnosed with COVID-19 since the onset of the pandemic. Most regions have also reported an increase in cases in recent weeks. As the country continues to grapple with COVID-19, the safety of our young patients remains our top priority. While we understand that you may be concerned about bringing your child to the dentist during this time, we feel confident assuring you that your family is safe with us.
How we are keeping your children safe
Preventing the spread of communicable disease is something dental offices have been well-equipped to do for decades. We have always followed standard safety protocols issued by the Centers for Disease Control & Prevention and the American Dental Association. When the COVID-19 pandemic began, we implemented even more safety measures to make absolutely sure our patients and team members would remain safe. In fact, we have had no known team-to-patient or patient-to-team transmissions in any of our practices.
Some of our extra safety measures include:
- Screening all team members daily for COVID-19 symptoms.
- Screening all patients prior to their appointment and upon arrival at the office.
- Requiring that all team members and clinicians wear appropriate protective equipment, including masks.
- Limiting seating in our welcome area to follow social distancing guidelines.
- Frequently disinfecting all high-traffic areas throughout our office.

We can work together.
While we are doing everything we can to ensure your family is safe, we also ask for your cooperation. If your child has a fever or is experiencing any symptoms of a communicable disease, or has had contact with someone diagnosed with COVID-19, please reschedule your appointment. We also ask that you and your child wear a mask when you arrive for your visit. Together, we can keep each other safe!
If you have any questions about an upcoming appointment, please don’t hesitate to reach out to us. We look forward to seeing your child and their smile soon!
